Blindly and Swift

Someone stuck a fork in my back
I'm not sure I know why
All I felt was it sinking in
And the shock of having it there

Someone was aiming for my heart
when the silver tines sunk in
Through tears of pain I questioned
What have I done, why me?

I picked up all my pieces
and glued them, one by one
There's cracks in certain places
where you can see the damage done

And though I'm getting better
It's quite hard to forget
The fact that human hatred
Strikes blindly and swift.
